Meet OUR INSTRUCTORS
Monica Ryan
Monica Ryan is a former NCAA Division I field hockey player at Saint Louis University with extensive experience coaching athletes from kindergarten through high school. A four-year collegiate defender and former two-time All-Conference high school player, Monica has coached with Gateway Field Hockey Club, Parkway West High School and Nexus Region 10. Her private lessons are tailored to each athlete and emphasize fundamentals, stick skills, footwork, defensive technique, shooting, decision-making and confidence.
Margaret Ott
Founder of GRIT Training, LLC in 2020, Margaret is a former NCAA Division I and Division III field hockey player earning All-American honors with additional experience as a field hockey coach on both the high school varsity and club level. After the conclusion of Margaret’s competitive athletic career she remains an avid fitness enthusiast, performing as a coach, runner, and athlete. Margaret will push every GRIT athlete to reach their full potential.
